  • I put this up on facebook yesterday and thought that some of you here might enjoy it too.

Have you heard about sin and yet you have never understood what sin is?  What is the Biblical definition of sin and lawlessness?  What does it mean to abide and remain in the L-rd?  What does it mean to be a witness for God?  All of these things are defined in this awesome teaching by David Taylor.

If we do not understand what being a witness is and how sin is defined in 1 John, then you will not know how to be a living sacrifice.

I would be interested in hearing any thoughts on what you think about the teaching...

sounds interesting. :D i will check it out.

@OhItWontBeForever@xanga - I meant to take the "-"  out of Lord but over looked it... a syntax error on my part.  I don't put the -'s in because it's a man made tradition and I am not bound to those, only the traditions of our Heavenly Father ;o)
Not that I take issue w/ people who want to put  -'s in, I'm okay with that if it makes them feel better.

oh :D thanks for taking the time to explain! i was just curious.

i don't put -'s in, either. but Muslims don't, in general, anyways. :)

"I am not bound to those, only the traditions of our Heavenly Father" ~ i like that.

But what we tihnk is sin can change over time and from person to person.  In fact, even Paul argued that what is sin for one might not be sin for another.

@fivethings -Thanks for stopping by...I just saw you comment since I haven't been here in a while due to ongoing home construction taking up most of my time.
In regards to your comment, I believe that has to do w/ the intentions of the heart and wouldn't you say that some things are always sin?  For instance lusting is always a sin.
