  • A horrid morning

I woke up to the sound of the tv... morning already?
I make my way to the bathroom to shower.
As I lean down to turn on the water AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!! cold water sprays on my back... someone, apparently me, left the shower lever up.    I quickly put the lever back down until the water warms up.  Finally a nice relaxing shower.   I think to myself "I hope HE doesn't show up."  The same thought I've been having every day since his unexpected (and undesired) appearance last week.

Then I hear four little voices in unison declaring from the living room "Mom, Mr.So&Sos here!" ((that's Murphy's law for ya))

NO NO NO!  This is bad timing!  I'm in the shower for crying out loud.  I jump out of the shower grab a towel, and check to make sure the front door is locked... only to notice that the front living room window's mini blind is almost ALL THE WAY UP! I reach over the arm of the sofa and grab the mini blind strings to coax as fast as possible the cantankerous thing to lower.  While doing so, I loose grip of my towel and mooned    ALL FOUR OF MY CHILDREN.   ((only me, right?))  You should have heard the wailing and gnashing of teeth behind me. LOL   Only I wasn't laughing then.  I gather my towel and what is left of my shattered dignity (didn't know i had any left btw ), order the children to go hide in their rooms (yeah, my exact words) and i fled to my bedroom to throw on my dirty clothes from yesterday.

I'm thankful to report that he had his wife with him and that they didn't stay long.  But before they could go they had to go on and on about our cats and how they wanted a beautiful calico too.  These people are always after my animals.  It drives the kids crazy, every time they leave the kids are like "You aren't going to give away our pet are you?"  LOL    I reassure them their pets aren't leaving with them.

My tummy is still in knots.  I called and informed Jason of my morning and he is going to have a talk with Mr.So&So about not coming by when he isn't here, so that is a relief.

    I feel emotionally spent, blah!

I am sorry but I really had to laugh at you dropping your towel!!

  • Lamb

@Hecalmsthestorm - No worries, I'm laughing at that too.  I've got to find something to laugh at in life, even if it's my myself!  Laughter makes me feel better.

I had to leave a comment.... I felt compelled.

This had to be one of the single most funny things I have read in such a long time.... especially when you spoke about mooning your children. I laughed myself.

What bad luck some of us seem to have, no?

I'll eventually have to get around to sharing some of mine! Funny weblog by the way. =P I wish you better luck in the future!!

Somebody needs a hug! I have to admit I laughed at the "mooning" part. By the way, that's a good profile picture!

I had to chuckle too! We've all had embarrassing things happen to us! I'm torn on my advise for you, but I always go back to the Gospels to see what Yahshua would do. I think having your husband do what he's gonna do is right. The only thing that I'm concerned about, is offending the strangers! I have found myself attracting similar types of people and I think it happens because I treat all people with respect, so I think the fact that I treat them nice causes them to think that I want to have a personal relationship with them. Maybe if you guys overwhelm them with your faith in Yahshua, that would either scare them off or maybe that would be a special seed planted that only God knows the results of. Sometimes I have to wonder if I'm given those circumstances as a test from The Almighty! Maybe you're being tested on your wisdom too! I will be interested in hearing what happens! Hint Hint!!!

@efrayim - he knows all about our faith.  He isn't a stranger either.  Jason has been trying to counsel him for at least 2 years now (he reminded me the other day that we've known Mr. So&So longer than a year)  and we've both had to seperately take over an hour out of our time to talk to his sort of ex-wife on the phone.   It's all messed up.  It must be a test or a lesson of some sort... I just can't figure out what we're supposed to do.   Is the Lord trying to teach us to set up healthy boundaries, to stretch us in showing love to the unloveable, I have no idea.  It does increase my prayer life though!  LOL

  • Lamb

@afacelesssin - thanks for stopping by and commenting, glad I made you laugh too!

  • Lamb

@Pluckinthaguitarra - crazy huh!?  I hope my kids wont need counseling after all that! LOL   Thanks for the compliment on my pic, I took it myself on the front porch.

It sounds to me like you know exactly what YHVH is doing! I will pray for you guys and Mr. and Mrs. So & So! Safe boundaries are smart and Biblical. I believe that Abba will protect you and I'm sure something very good will come out of your efforts! Keep praying and do specific Bible studies that will give you guys wisdom; which I'm sure you're doing! In my experience I've found that when ever I've helped Mr. & Mrs. So & So's, I've experienced hassles, but in the long run it works out to glorify Yahshua! Some times my Christian and Messianic friends are too judgmental about me helping some of those people, but I've discovered that they really don't understand the love of Yahshua the way that I do. Please don't misunderstand me, It's only to His glory and patience with me that I am able to tell you this! If you knew my sordid past, you'ld understand what I'm saying! If YHVH loves me, He loves everyone! Blessings to both of you and your family!!!!!!!!

I'm just passing by. I found your blog through, Made2Sing4Jesus (I think). That sounds awful. Id be so embarrassed! The only encounter I had like that was when I was living in San Antonio. I had just gotten out of the shower, put a shirt on and my underwear. That's it. While I was in the shower, someone had knocked on the door, but I ignored it. Well, when I walked out of the bathroom, one of the maintenance guys was standing therein my living room, and there I was in my underwear. It really upset me.

They were working on the tiles in my kitchen, and when you aren't home or don't answer their maintenance just lets themselves in. But it upset me, because surely he heard me taking a shower. You'd think he would have left and just tried to come back a little later. But noooo, he decided that staying was the better idea and without warning that he was IN the house, out I came undressed. He claimed that he shouted "Maintenace, coming in!" before he entered. But how the heck was I supposed to hear that from outside when I was in the shower >_>
  • Lamb

@QuietSerenade - That is TERRIBLE!  You'd think they could have at least let you know the day before if they have plans to work on something like a reminder on the door would have been good.
